They take way too long to preheat. Why must the damn heating element cycle so much?

Trick: Hit broil for like 5 minutes first, then set the desired temperature. Gets there much faster :)

So, I was bored and something sparked the idea to look at GE turbofans. Sure, Pratt & Whitney make some awesome ones too, but I like GE, and I’ve seen the plant in SC that makes them, so GE it is.

GE90-115B

Now what could I do with a GE90-115B you ask? Well, it produces about 127,900 lbf (568,9 kN) of thrust…so roughly 111,526 HP… Sure, it weighs just over 9 tons…but that’s a lot of power…

So, lets build some massive chassis to set it on, put some sort of cabin on, and a massive fuel tank… Turbofan car-thing?

I think it would somewhat work, but I don’t know if it’d be possible to survive… The G-force from that kind of acceleration is probably way over the lethal threshold… It’d be awesome to try though…
